Mona, Crossiants, and Good Company

Welp, I just returned from Par-ee! It was so much fun! I am going to give you a quick little overview of the trip, though there is much to say. However, I'm getting ready to go to Scotland to meet Kevin TOMORROW!!!!! I cannot wait! So, to say the least, things are very busy getting schoolwork, errands, etc in line to leave again.

Before we leave for Paris, here's a taste of spring that's sweeping over Oadby!

Now, Paris! Off on the train w/ new friend Madison! Yes, it's 5 am.
Our first stop, Arch de Triumph-- Napoleon's trophy for winning a bunch of wars.

Me and the dead Napoleon (It's his tomb)
And of course... the Eifel Tower! After walking through the streets, we took the subway...

To the Louvre!
And we hung w/ Mona and some statues:

(I say that in jest but it was BEAUTIFUL and thinking about all the different lives represented there of people who have gone before us, each trying to express their unique point of view in life, one right next to another and another, made me feel very small and led to many deep thoughts... but maybe some other times I will share those...)
Then, we walked near the Louvre by the river...
To a small cafe where we had Crepes!

The next morning-- after a miscommuncation w/ Father Time (and almost missing the tour!) We went on a walking tour of the city-- this is one of the many "squares" but in this one there was a big stadium where one king was killed in a jousting match and his death was prophetically predicted!

We finished up at Notre Dam... incredible to think they did all this w/ no laser cutters, Bobcats, and cranes!

Then, we walked the Latin Quarter and found a cute little bakery and ate AMAZING chocolate chip bread things...
This was the bakery.

Then, we went to dinner and got really good sorbet!
After sorbet, we went and saw the Eifel tower light show-- so neat!

Then, went to the Rockquet Street by our hotel, where a creeper started following us-- but we we went into a rest. and waited and were fine.
The next day, after sleeping in and a relaxing morning reading at ANOTHER cafe, we met at Moulan Rouge

And walked up the hill of Montmarte. This was Van Gogh's bachelor pad.And in the part, a local artist did a famous Love Painting w/ the words "I love you" from every known language! This is the cheesy pic for Kevs :)

After that, we went to the top of MontMarte and saw painters painting and walked through the little shops-- then it was time to head back! An amazing trip, seeing things that I never thought I would, and having great conversations all along the way!
Next up, leaving in the morning to meet Kevs in Scotland! WOO HOO!!!!! We'll write together when we get back to Leicester!

Please pray for safe travel for us-- I know that's a cliche prayer request but I always have a tiny bit of anxiety with it.
LOVE YOU ALL!
