A busy whirlwind...

Hello all! These past several days have seemed to fly by, thankfully! While I long to soak up my time here, I’m ready for these next couple weeks of various adjustments and ambiguity to be over.

Here are some highlights :)
-Discovery of a HUGE park about an hour away from Oadby w/ some great friends.

Rob, Ian, and "The German" in their arms...
many crazy stories about this kid.

Kinda like Bolivar!

The Biggest tree I had ever seen in my life!
It looked like 6 seperate trees in one!
And an old abandoned school house behind it...very cool!We tried to climb, but it was slick...
Another cloudy day here, but loved the openness!
Most of the girls...
-Classes started on Monday. The big white building behind the pretty one is where many classes are. Good, but boy they just throw you in! Am having to read a 300pg novel by the first day of class... that I found out about TONIGHT... the night before! Thank God for Sparknotes... and the excuse of being an international student.-Celebrated Austrailia Day
At the Walkabout with some friends :)
Sideways but you get the idea...

The Aussies :)

-Drank some wonderful coffee (At Gloria Jeans) with some fellow SBU-ers

-Had a HIGHLY embarrassing moment this afternoon... As I was engrossed in a book on the bus, I didn't notice the time but figured it was close to class time. Well, I victoriously find the lecture hall with no problems, which I was worried about. And storm in, while looking in my bag for my planner to write down the long list I had in my head.
...And look up to find 300 people are staring at me. No exaggeration. 300. And one--the professor. The time was 2:40. My class wasn't until 3:05. And I had just walked in on another class. There was no going back now. So, I walked with my head down into the class and up the stairs, found an open seat. And didn't move a muscle, as to not be noticed even more until the LAW class was over... Oh. Milanta.

Well, I'm off to dinner and then reading my surprise material for class... eek!

I will post more indepth thoughts on adjustment, culture differences, and generational observations soon... many, many fill my journal.

Love you all!
